CPWD Publications in use
Often Civil and Electrical Engineers get struck up with the preparation of Schedule of Rates (SOR) while preparing the Estimates and Tender documents for the new works.
Generally CPWD manuals and SOR provide great help when you want to standardize the technical specifications and arrive at a widely acceptable rates in India. However, the Engineers need to conduct market surveys to arrive at the local market rates prevalent at a particular place where the work need to be carried out through contract.
"CPWD for its effective working has developed the codes, manuals, schedules, technical specifications, design manuals and other necessary technical publications."
